Breathing protection route

Every breathing apparatus deployment presents the breathing apparatus wearers with extreme situations. The crew is tasked with monitoring for hazards, rescuing people, and fighting fires. Visibility is severely limited by thick smoke, the local conditions may be very cramped, and the rooms are extremely hot due to the fire.

This is not an everyday situation for any volunteer. For this reason, such a situation is artificially created on the training course as part of the breathing apparatus training course. Every breathing apparatus wearer is required to complete this training course at least once a year, provided no actual deployment has taken place during that time. This serves the purpose of optimally preparing the wearers for such operational situations and enabling them to recognize familiar situations in the field and respond to them as best as possible.

Newsroom

In the case of major disasters, the organization cannot be handled solely by the ILS in Rosenheim. For such major disasters, such as severe storms or flooding, the communications center is staffed and assumes responsibility for coordinating forces in the city and its suburbs. The radio desk offers communication via 4-meter and 2-meter radio.

Likewise, the operations carried out are logged there and incoming calls from residents of the city are received.

Respiratory protection workshop

The respiratory protection workshop offers the opportunity to clean and check respiratory protection devices and masks, fill the cylinders and make the devices ready for use again.

The bottles are filled via a filling station that allows both 300 bar bottles and 200 bar bottles to be filled.

This workshop also contains a test device that checks the lung demand valves, masks and the device itself for functionality.
